What a year 2017 has been.
We are all part of an industry that is changing so quickly and presenting new challenges and yet, we must not forget how far we've come from where it all first started with Brick-and-Mortar. Moving forward, irrespective of our company's size, it is up to us to ensure that our teams remain nimble, motivated and ready to act...not react.
As a businessman who values your time and relationship with E Fundamentals, it’s really important to me that I share our growth so you continue to entrust us to help you achieve your individual objectives.
2016 may have been the year that we bought our product to market, but 2017 has been the year that the market stood upright to notice us; our success this year would not have been possible without the support of our clients and followers.
First and foremost, it gives me great pleasure to announce that we onboarded new clients who are setting themselves up to achieve ambitious targets in 2018. We’re really proud that they’ve chosen us to deliver their commercial objectives and it reinforces that our service really is helping people do real work.
To add to this, one of our other most proudest achievements this year was our double win at ICOM. We not only won the Marketing Attribution category for measurably helping our clients make money, but we were also globally awarded the best Start-up across 16 countries. So we must be doing something right.
Despite going from strength to strength, this year marked the start of immense growth as we opened up our second office in Edinburgh. We’re in full swing recruiting the most talented team of DevOps, Customer Success team and Analysts who will be working with our team in London to help drive your businesses forward.
As a people lead technology company, we wanted to get out there and meet as many of you as possible and hear about your Sales and Marketing challenges. Most of these challenges, if not all, our teams have experienced first hand in their previous FMCG roles so we can empathise what you’re up against. We exhibited at IGD’s Online and Digital summit where I had the great pleasure of co-presenting with the eCommerce Channel Lead of Purina, Vishal Krishna. See the highlights on the keynote here.
We partnered with My Digital Shelf, where I collaborated with eCommerce Controller of Edgewell (makers of Wilkinson Swords) Camila Lobo-Guerrero, on a webinar about how Sales & Marketing teams can build their capabilities to win online. If you missed it, you can view it here.
This was also the year that the press took a strong interest in who we are, what we do and why we’re doing it. I spoke to City AM, The Grocer and Real Business (to name but a few) about E Fundamentals’ journey and how we’re shaping the future of online shopping.
And last but not least, we’re finishing 2017 with a bang as the latest research we conducted on NPDs spread across the digital community like wildfire. We analysed how effectively new products were being sold across 16 categories in the leading online UK retailers. The results were not surprising...at least not to us. Unfortunately many brands made similar mistakes causing them a loss; despite the brilliant hard work they put into their product launches, there are some key missing links that consistently get overlooked. Amidst this all we have remained focused on our primary objective to help upskill your teams and deliver a Return on Intelligence; we've lined up a whole host of special announcements, services, collaborations and keynotes for next year. The next biggest turning point for us is going to be the launch of R3; the brand new E Fundamentals platform which we can’t wait to share with you. Hold tight, it really is going to be something special and a truly unique product in the market.
