Exploring consumer shopping habits at Retail Week Live

We’re excited to announce that we’ve put together a stellar panel of CPG leaders for Retail Week Live.

Come March 8th, E Fundamentals CEO John Maltman will be chairing one of the most pressing topics concerning brands right now; “What’s driving shopping habits of today and tomorrow?” 

Joining John are:

The demand for online shopping in the UK has led to an exponential rise of eCommerce sales, which in January 2018 accounted for 16.5% of all retail sales. In order for brands to grow their online categories, keep innovating and winning online, it has become more important than ever before for companies to understand what their customers want and how they can get it in front of them at the right place and at the right time.

These industry leaders will be taking the stage at the largest gathering of retail leadership in the UK, and together will be sharing their experience from having led multi-channel, global Sales and Marketing strategies. Expect to gain insight into what factors are driving the current changes in the retail landscape and what trends brands need to prepare for in order deliver their objectives.

 A former VP at PepsiCo, P&G and Asda (Walmart), John has led fast and profitable growth in a range of marketing services and B2B technology businesses. During this time, he has developed a deep understanding of some of the world's best Sales and Marketing organisations including Coca-Cola Enterprises, Nestlé, SCA, Groupé SEB and Unilever FS.

Leeandhart is the Vice President of the British Soft Drinks Association and a member of the Leadership Council for the Institute of Grocery Distribution. Leendert joined Coca-Cola European Partners’ business from Young’s Seafood Ltd, where he had been Chief Executive Officer since 2011. Previously, he was UK Managing Director and Chief Marketing Officer of its parent company Findus Group. Prior to that he spent 15 years at Proctor and Gamble in senior marketing positions.

Nick Powell, VP Edgewell

Nick Powell, Vice President Europe, Middle East and Africa for Edgewell

Having occupied a range of senior leadership positions across consumer goods, Nick is the Vice President of Edgewell Personal Care in Europe, Middle East and Africa, with a turnover exceeding $400m in personal care categories with brands including Wilkinson Sword, Hawaiian Tropic and Bulldog. During his time with Edgewell, and previously Energizer Group, he nurtured and combined talent to deliver organic growth strategies, as well as initiated M&A opportunities which led to sustained business scale and market share gains. Prior to Energizer, Nick worked in Marketing, Sales and General Management at United Biscuits, the leading international branded snacks business, in positions across Europe, Asia and the U.S.A.


Christine Cross, NED

Christine Cross, NED, Fenwick and Coca Cola European Partners

An independent business advisor, Christine Cross combines a mixture of Advisory and Non-Executive roles with consulting to retailing and manufacturing businesses, plus academic institutions. She established her company, Christine Cross Ltd, in June 2003 and since then has worked with a range of global food and non food retail and FMCG  businesses, and established a portfolio of Non Executive and  Advisory Board roles, including Coca Cola European Partners, Hilton Food Group, Sonae plc Portugal, Fenwick and the Pollen Estate. Previously she was the Director of Tesco where she was involved in the development of their private label, the establishment of their non-food business, international direct sourcing and, latterly and global business development.
